Psalm 27

1 The LORD is my light and my salvation;
whom shall I fear?
The LORD is the strength of my life;

2 When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes,
came upon me to eat up my flesh,
they stumbled and fell.

3 Though a host should encamp against me,
my heart shall not fear:
though war should rise against me,

that I may dwell in the house of the LORD

1. Family - Pray for influencers on American families and children; pray for parents; pray for grandparents; pray for marriages; pray for those who counsel families; pray for families in need; pray for the homeless and near homeless; pray for single parents; pray for those experiencing domestic violence; pray for children without parents or in foster care; pray for those struggling with addictions of all kinds; pray for families broken by divorce; pray for Christian organizations and individuals who are actively assisting families in need; pray that churches find ways to assist struggling families in even great ways

2. Church - Pray for influencers on the American church; pray for pastors; pray for Sunday School teachers; pray for ministries and ministry leaders; pray for churches that are struggling; pray for revival; pray that more Christians will prepare to become pastors and ministry leaders; pray for Christian seminaries; pray for denominations making critical decisions about future directions

3. Government - Pray for influencers on national, state, and local government; pray for the executive, legislative, and judicial branches of government; pray for each of the leaders listed on the "Leaders" webpage; pray for Christians working in government at all levels; pray for Christian leaders with a biblical worldview who are taking action; pray for Christian leaders and others experiencing persecution and violence because of their stand for Christian principles; pray that more Christians will prepare to enter the political arena

Education - Pray for the youth of America; pray for influencers on American education and youth; pray for teachers and principals; pray for those producing curricula, books and materials used in schools; pray for upcoming court decisions and votes which will effect schools and students; pray for homeschooling parents; pray for Christian schools and colleges; pray for youth leaders in churches; pray for youth ministries; pray for those working to bring Christ and biblical truth to local campuses; pray that more Christians will prepare to become teachers, administrators, members of education boards, youth directors, etc.

5. Marketplace (Business/Commerce/Industry) - Pray for influencers on business in America; pray for current economic conditions; pray for those who are struggling to keep their business going; pray for those in the professions - medicine, law, finance, science, technology, etc.; pray for those seeking solutions for our current challenges such as energy and health care, etc.

6. Military - Pray for influencers on the military; pray for men and women currently serving in ongoing war zones; pray for all who are deployed; pray for military families; pray for military leaders; pray for chaplains; pray for peace officers in local communities; pray for churches and ministries actively working with the military

7. Media and Entertainment (if desired, media and entertainment can be separate issues and military can be combined with government) - Pray for influencers on the media and entertainment including print media, radio and television media and entertainment, computer-driven media and entertainment, movies, theater, etc.; pray for industry leaders in each of these fields; pray for those producing wholesome, quality entertainment and Christian media; pray that more Christians will prepare to become part of the media and the world of entertainment; pray for those with a Christian perspective who are preparing young people for these fields
